What the players say
The TD-X is everything the Tube Driver is and more. Bjorn Riis - Gilmourish
The TD-X arrived today, and just sounds so wonderfull. I´m very happy
Thanks, and in the future I will order a Evolution.
My best regards
This truly is the first time that I've found a clone to be better than the original. One of the absolute best drive pedals for all genres I've encountered
Hi Steve - I received the TD-X pedal early last week, and I am LOVING it! It is the best “David Gilmour” tone investment on my pedal board that I’ve made yet, and it’s SO good for blues tones as well. Also to my pleasant surprise, it has also significantly quieted down the noise I used to get through my entire direct pedal chain, so I am now getting a much less noise on higher gain settings. Just wanted to compliment you on your excellent design and manufacturing. I’ll hope to order more of your pedals in the future.
I have both and the TD-X is just as good as the original Tube Driver with a much lower noise floor. It's the first time I've played a clone of another pedal that was as good and better than the original. The TD-X is much better at low gain also. I highly recommend it and if I personally had to choose between the 2 I would pick the TD-X
Just to let you know my TD-X pedal arrived the other day. Wow! what an amazing pedal - you have really nailed that Tube Driver vibe. I was instantly able to dial in some really convincing Gilmour-tones (the playing side of things may not be quite up there yet though!). Great construction, and I really like the placing of the in/out jacks, as it doesn't end up taking up as much space on my pedal board as other pedals I have which are a similar size.
Thanks very much for a great product.
Hi Steve, it arrived a few hours ago......
WOW this thing is AMAZING, I have a bunch of high end gain pedals (Analogman king of tone, etc) and this is just the next level. Playing through vintage Blackface Fenders, Marshall Plexi and my Suhr Bella, with both Les Pauls and a
'64 strat is just too good. Thanks so much and I'll be checking out some of your other pedals in the not to distant future.
I m working on a gilmourishpedalboard. I also have a BK Butler Tube Driver. It works well on my Mesa but my boss doesn't want any amp on stage... So I use a Pod Hd pro x...
Your TD-X works far better on it
And its versatility allows me to use it as an overdriver (more or less gain) and a booster (muff for example or clean)
I don't know how I managed without it until now and the TD-X is so close to my bk tube driver except that it takes up far less space and no mains plug and behaves itself across the range.
I am so impressed and so happy, everything works with my P1 and sunface and really quiet through my Reeves Custom 50.
I'm in Gilmour heaven.
The TD-X will cover a wider range really. It's basically a TD without a tube. It hasn't disappointed me in the least. That's saying a lot!
All I can say is wow, what a pedal. It's everything I wanted in an overdrive. The gain knob is useful when turned down and gives a beautiful singing lead when turned up. It's in a good place on the pedal too as I can move it easily with my foot when I need a different sound.
The bonus for me is how it makes my other pedals sound so good. I haven't been able to find something that stacks nicely with the Cornish P-2, this stacks beautifully. Until now I've been using the OD808 with the Riot, but trying the TD-X before it is really nice too, sounds incredible, especially for lead stuff.
Built like a tank and is quiet as can be, stunning
When the TD-X came out, I knew it would be the one that I needed to get as I've always wanted that sound...and it delivers on so many levels, in spades, it's an amazing pedal. I don't know the components either, but it's awesome how close it comes
